Fertilizing Made Easy!
Begin fertilizing when the water temperature approaches 60 degrees F. (Late February or early March in the south) and use a 2x rate (10 lbs) for the first application.
Fertilize every two weeks until the pond produces a green bloom. This may occur after the first application. Once a green plankton bloom is established, fertilize as necessary to maintain the green color (approximately once a month) then continue to fertilize until the water temperature drops into the low 50's (usually the time of the first frost). Do not fertilize if undesired vegetation is present because the fertilizer will only stimulate growth.
PERFECT POND PLUS can be broadcast from the bank or pier or poured over the side or back of a boat. It will dissolve in the upper two feet of water. A five-acre pond can be fertilized from one location!
